One of the first things I noticed that I “forgot” when I was setting up my sales funnel was that I needed squeeze page templates.

If you do a Google search for squeeze page templates, the results are… not impressive.

I couldn’t find any squeeze pages that looked like they were any good with that method, although you may!

Instead I took a more direct, friendly approach and found a squeeze page that I really liked.  I opted in, and asked the person where they got the template.

Bam…he sent me the template via email and asked that I not share it with any one else.

It’s a real morale boost to know that there are other marketers out there who are willing to go that little extra mile and help someone out.

I’ve exchanged a few emails with this guy and I think he’ll be someone in the near future who will be willing to send an email to his list for me.

Building relationships online is a lot easier than most people think.

I know that was one of the biggest things holding me back from wanting to get into this niche… I really didn’t want to build relationships with people, because I have an introvert personality.

But hey….I’m great, people like me, and gosh darn it I can do it!

Remember those cheasy lines and remember… so can you!

As I’ve taken on this $10k in 90 day challenge, I wanted to not only secure myself some upfront cash, but also build myself a business along the way.

The best way to do this is with out a doubt, building a list.

It turns out mind blowing SEO knowledge isn’t the only thing I need for this project though.

I had originally planned on creating my free report, offering a OTO and focusing on providing the kind of content that makes people never want to miss a single one of my emails.

But as the hours go by today I’m realizing I’m going to need to create several more of these small report to get opt ins fast, and build a list fast like I’m wanting to do.

No big deal really.  And in the long run it should be more profitable.

I’ll also get the chance to dive deeper into a niche that I’ve wanted to for a really long time… Make Money Online.

I can’t say enough how valuable the War Room membership has been to me the last 2 days.

Just as I thought things were wrapping up, and I’d have my OTO report finished in about half an hour or so more easy editing…I checked out a killer report, and now have some more work to go back through and retouch on both reports…easy stuff though.

I’ve also decided that I’ll be giving back with a lot of the content I create to the War Room!

A few days ago, I purchased a product that came with forced opt in…I’m okay with that.

Especially since the lesson I learned from it was GOLDEN.

In the first email that I recieved, I was shown the next 6 emails that I would be recieving.  Right away I knew, damn, that’s powerful.  Now here I am looking forward to his emails.  That’s got to increase open open rates…right?

So there I was…looking forward to the first email but…it never came!

Instead I started off with email #2.  So I thought something was set up wrong on the auto responder, and I sent a quick email to the owner letting him know I never recieved the first email.  Though I loved his idea, and I was stealing it. 

He said he started using that after he noticed 18% of people were opting out of his list after the first email and he wanted to reduce that number.  Now he’s averaging less than 5% of people unsubscribing from his list.

So when I created my free report, I made this tactic part of my plan…after all I don’t want a fifth of all subscribers walking out the door…that defeats the whole purpose of building a list!

So I included the following emails message in my first email, and I also added it in at the end of my report about how ground breaking the information is, and reminded them to mark my email address as safe, because if they miss out on those emails, they’ll be getting left behind.

Sad but true when it comes to backlinks, because the info I give them is crucial to their SEO success.

Unless they like the idea of spending every day doing the same boring tasks of signing up to websites, and submitting articles.  But seriously…no one does that.  I can set up an entire years worth of article marketing in a day, and the next day set up all the profile and blog links for the year.  That’s if it’s a tough niche!

So anyway, I just finished the 6 emails and I thought YES…my sales funnel is complete!

Then I realized right away that I have more info I need to give these readers, and most importantly I still have the task of setting up a valuable One Time Offer to sell.

So while it’s not complete, it’s nice to be back to work after 2 days of moping on the couch and getting things going again… anyway…back to work!

I meant to write this blog post earlier this week, but I ate something bad and had to take a few sick days!

It wasn’t fun at all, but now that I’m back I want to share with you that I’ve decided to set up a small challenge for myself.

My challenge is to make $10,000 profit in the next 90 days with the Make Money Online/Internet Marketing Niche.

I’ll spend some money on advertising, so the goal will be for $10k profit, and not just $10k gross.

I don’t have a big budget for this project either, though I probably will spend a few hundred dollars to leverage a few really good solo ads from warriors.  This money may not have to come out of my pocket at all though, because before I promote to a big list, I’ll need to make sure I have tested my sales funnel with WSOs and other forms of traffic.

So as my challenge rolls along, I’m going to be giving updates here on my blog to keep track of how things are going, and help share some info about building a profitable list fast.

The first thing I did was sign up for aweber email auto responder service.

I chose aweber because it’s $1 for the first month, and in the long term with a larger list it’s cheaper than getresponse.  Since this will be to run a business I’m looking ahead to the long term prices, and I also liked that it was only $1 for the first month.  This will help keep my costs down, and maybe help me afford a little extra paid traffic….maybe…we’ll see.

I wrote a free report, Backlink Bombshell, and I’m going to offer it as a free WSO.

I’ve also set up 6 auto responder message with ground breaking high quality content, and recommended a few products related to the backlink niche.

Since building backlinks is one of my strengths, I was able to chose only the best products to promote.

I have also done quite a bit of researching to make sure I’m able to get the best most quality and relevant info for the emails I’m providing, because some of them are about topics other than backlinks.
