Getting to Know

Victor Edson

Hi there!

Give me a minute of your time, I want to show you how there’s nothing  more valuable than who we are, and although I don’t spend a lot of time talking about myself, this will be your chance to get a look at the guy behind the computer and what makes me tick.

If you’ve seen me around on forums and taken a look at my pic, you’ll probably be surprised that I’m older than I look.  Most people would never guess me to be 28.  Here you can see a picture of my wife, my daughter and myself taken at the airport in the canaries islands recently.

Although I was born in Texas, I grew up in Indiana.  Today I’m living some where I never imagines, Germany.

How did that happen?

Growing up in Indiana I always knew the most important thing I wanted to do after high school was move out of the town I lived in!  I knew there was more to life than what was there in that small town, and it really wasn’t a very good place to grow up.  I often found myself getting into more trouble than anything there.

After being robbed at gun point twice, I decided it was time to move on, so I packed my stuff and moved to Indianapolis in search of a better life.  I landed a job at an auto auction and did pretty good for myself.  I started off cleaning cars, and within a year I was managing a seperate car lot for the owner.  Here I was at age 19 running the show… pretty cool.

But obviously something led up to that point.  Something molded me into someone who could take on those responsibilities and succeed with them.

You see, since age 14 I’ve had a job.  I had already sold ice cream and even magazines door to door.  But what really set me up for success was the marketing and business classes that I took in school.  My friends all thought I was crazy and that I should be in shop class, but I always had a passion for marketing and business.

It’s what I learned in those classes that I used to run ads online and in the local auto trader magazine that had customers coming to my lot every day to buy cars from me.

After 9/11, my life took a turn as I enlisted to defend the country.

I signed up for the army and within a few weeks I was yelling “YES DRILL SEARGANT!!”

I got my chance to serve in Iraq, and had the opportunity to meet someone who at the time I had no idea who change my life forever…

After our tour was finished, we returned to Germany where I was able travel around Europe and see some of the most beautiful places that I never thought I’d get a chance to see.

I fell in love and got married to a beautiful german girl.

The Army thought I’d make a great recruiter, so I finished my tour in Ohio helping young men and women start their lives with a journey.

After That

I bounced around from a few jobs, enjoying my freedom to say, SHUT UP AND SHOVE THIS JOB.  You see, in the Army you can say that, but you’d be the one getting shoved where the sun don’t shine!

After bouncing around with a few jobs, I finally decided to start following a career I always had an interest in.  Driving.

I landed a pretty good job, and was having a great time until one day I heard my wife say… I’m pregnant.  We decided to move back to Germany to have the baby and be closer to my wife’s family.  Our house hadn’t sold because the economy was starting to tank, so she went back without me until I got the chance to sell off our belongings and house.

Then Tragedy Struck

I’ve always been the hard working type who’s willing to go that extra mile, so when I was asked if I wanted to get a delivery at 4am, I was up for the job.  What I didn’t know was that in the night a blizzard was rolling through Indiana that left 18 inches of snow!

Not being one to give up, I grabbed a shovel and headed off to work.  After 2 hours I finally made it to the end of my street and onto the main street!!  Total distance, less than a quarter mile!!!  Shovel from Lowe’s… priceless

As I arrived to pick up my delivery, a semi was blocking the drive way to the office, so I decided to do some paperwork and small tasks as I waited for him to drive away.

As I was scraping the ice from my windshield in the parking lot, the semi decided it was a great time to make his big move, which was floor it in reverse in hopes of pusing his trailer through the snow up to a dock.  Of course, I was behind him in the parking lot and me RAN ME OVER!

I couldn’t believe it, and although I’m really lucky to be alive today, my back is messed up and it effects me every single day in everything that I do.

Remember that guy I met in Iraq who changed my life?

He had shown me how to set up a website and monetize it a few years earlier by building a list and recommending affiliate products!  I had been bringing in at least a few hundred every month for a while.

After the accident and move to Germany I realized that I can’t ever have a “normal” job again.  Even if I wanted to, it’s not worth the amount of pain I go through for a lousy paycheck.

I decided it was time to get more involved with this hobby I had started, internet marketing.

After just a few short months I was able to drastically increase my income and really turn things around.  Since I’d always had an interest in marketing and business I really enjoyed what I was doing.  More than anything I wanted to get into one certain niche, the internet marketing niche.

Why hadn’t I?

I wanted to prove to myself more than anything that I could make a living online in other niches first.  I wanted to prove to myself that I could make money selling more than “get rich quick” books!  I’d already bought a few of those and been burned, so I didn’t want to do the same to other people.

Add on top of that, I was already making a steady auto pilot income from the niches I was in, and I had a new baby at home.

But I realized that I’ve been out there living the lifestyle that so many internet marketers want to.  Including this picture of me recently sailing for the first time, something I’ve always wanted to try.

So what changed?

Life got “back to normal” you could say.  My wife went back to work.  My daughter is in kindergarten for a few hours a day, and I now have the chance to work on projects as I please.

I knew it was time for me to enter the IM niche because I had wanted to since the beginning, and I was already making a decent income online, so I knew I could start sharing that information with other people who wanted to learn how as well.

Then I realized that a LOT of internet marketers who are doing okay, or even really good could really improve their business big time.

People are leaving huge amounts of money on the table, and I decided to start putting my success of marketing and sales to use helping others increase their business online.

One last word

In the 5th grade there was a cool kid in my class, but he constantly ruined his reputation by bragging about how good he could draw(REALLY good, take a look at the back of an Indiana quarter to see some of his work).

We all knew he could draw, and we all loved looking at his pictures, and he was a lot of fun to hang out with too.  But he bragged a lot back then (not any more, but as a kid).

I knew then that I never wanted to be a bragger, and I really hope this page doesn’t come off as I’m bragging.  I’ve not shared some of my biggest accomplishments because of that reasons.

Instead I hope you got the chance to get to know me a little better and where I’m coming from.
